Rhenium Metal Description:

Rhenium metal is hard, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. It is stable in the air and synthesizes rhenium disulfide with sulfur vapor at high temperatures. It forms halides with fluorine, chlorine, and bromine. Rhenium is insoluble in hydrochloric acid, but soluble in hot concentrated sulfuric acid. High purity rhenium metal, after high-temperature and high-pressure processing, has small columnar particles with a certain shape and a silver appearance. The purity and density of the chemical composition of rhenium particles used as alloying elements are the main reference indicators for measuring their quality.

Rhenium Metal Applications:

Used as a super alloy additive, commonly used in the manufacturing of mother alloys for modern high-speed aircraft engine components, as well as aerospace equipment components, and other ultra-high temperature fields.
