Gallium Metal Description:

Gallium is a gray blue or silver white metal with a low melting point but a high boiling point. Pure liquid gallium has a significant tendency towards supercooling and is prone to oxidation in air, forming an oxide film. Gallium can infiltrate glass, so it is not suitable to store it in glass containers.

Gallium Metal Applications:

Used for preparing compound semiconductors, high-purity alloys, electronic components, as well asdoping agents for germanium and silicon single crystals.
